Yahoo acquired wider control about search results, how they are displayed on desktops and mobile phones, according to amended agreement between Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inc.
The original agreement, set for 10 years is allowing companies to terminate or amend the deal after first five years. It is connected to Bing search on Yahoo website, controlled by Microsoft earlier, now it will own the ads from its Bing ads platform. According to the deal, Yahoo was responsible for bing search sales.
Transition is scheduled to happen in summer this year. Revenue-share system is about to remain the same.
